Laundrotastic

Laundrotastic is a cozy management game that adapts to your playstyle. Wash, iron, and fold laundry for your customers. If you prefer a relaxed experience, decorate your shop, get to know your customers, and adopt a cat. If you work efficiently, unlock upgrades and take on challenges. The mechanics, narrative, and UI dynamically respond to your playstyle, allowing you to find your own pace and fun.

ABOUT THE GAME/IDEA:
Laundrotastic was developed as a bachelor’s thesis over a period of approximately three and a half months by myself.
The idea for the game came from my own experience playing cozy games, particularly farming sims. Although these games are designed to be relaxing, I often found myself playing them as efficiently as possible, which made me feel stressed rather than cozy. This led to the idea of a game that gives players the freedom to choose how they want to play. Players can take a slow and cozy approach or they can play efficiently.
The goal is to create space for both playstyles, as well as everything in between.

AI was used as a programming/debugging assistant. It was used to help troubleshoot code and suggest solutions. The resulting code was reviewed and modified by me. No AI-generated art, audio, or other game assets were used.
